Studio 338 Handwoven is a working studio filled with many beautiful yarns in a range of colors and fibers. A few favorites that I love to weave with are cotton, merino wool, bamboo, silk, and tencel. Color and texture are two things I love to play with more than anything. The color pallet I favor is a mixture of New England fall and Southwestern Desert. I'm also fond of the beautiful contrast of black and white especially when combined with fibers and weave structures that have a lot of texture. My finished hand woven fabrics span the spectrum of weave structures from plain weave, to overshot and crackle. I mainly use 4 and 8 shaft looms but, rigid heddle and inkle looms are also part of my weaving repertoire. Particularly when I'm looking to weave with heavier yarn or add a narrow band to finished piece.
